Beautiful Desert scenery

Small pieces of petrified hardwood covered the Desert floor

The larger pieces of petrified wood were amazing. It looked like you could start a fire with them.

Apparently this area was once a huge river delta.

These round sandstone rocks are known as concretions and are formed by wind and water.

Large petrified log.

While this looks like a large piece of wood it is actually petrified and millions of years old.
